The Toyota bZ7 Ultra (full name: 710 Ultra LiDAR Edition) is the flagship trim of the Toyota bZ7, a full-size battery-electric sedan produced by GAC Toyota (the joint venture between GAC Group and Toyota).
It is part of Toyota’s “beyond Zero” (bZ) EV lineup and was developed primarily by a local Chinese team (the second such model after the bZ3X). It is based on GAC Aion’s Hyptec A800 platform. The production model debuted at Auto Shanghai 2025, entered pre-sales in early 2026, and went on sale in late March 2026.
Key Dimensions and Design
This places it in the full-size/executive sedan class—roughly the size of a short-wheelbase Mercedes-Benz S-Class or larger than many competitors such as the Xiaomi SU7 or BYD Han. It has a sleek fastback-inspired coupe-like profile with a continuous front light bar (“hammerhead” design language), split headlights, semi-hidden/flush door handles, a panoramic roof flowing into the rear, and a high-mounted rear light bar. Drag coefficient is reported as low as 0.23 Cd.

Chassis and Ride
The Ultra trim uniquely standardizes dual-chamber air suspension with SDC (intelligent variable damping) and “magic carpet” / pre-scanning intelligent suspension. It can adjust ride height and stiffness in real time by scanning the road ahead for a more refined, adaptive ride.
Interior, Tech, and Features
The cabin emphasizes luxury and comfort with a focus on both driver and rear-passenger experience:
