The Toyota bZ3X is a battery electric compact crossover SUV produced by Toyota through its joint venture with GAC Toyota in China, launched in March 2025 as part of Toyota’s bZ (“Beyond Zero”) series aimed at carbon-neutral mobility. Designed to compete in the highly competitive Chinese EV market, the bZ3X combines affordability, advanced technology, and a family-oriented design. It measures approximately 4,600 mm in length, 1,875 mm in width, and 1,645 mm in height, with a 2,765 mm wheelbase, offering a spacious interior comparable to larger vehicle classes despite its compact footprint. Toyota claims it provides class-leading rear cabin space (984 mm) and interior height (1,215 mm), emphasizing comfort with a “Cozy Mobile Home” interior concept.
The bZ3X is available in three trims—430 Air+, 520 Pro+, and 620 Max—powered by a front-wheel-drive single electric motor producing 150 kW (201 hp) or 165 kW (224 hp for the 620 Max). It features lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries in three capacities: 50.0 kWh (430 km range), 58.4 kWh (520 km range), and 67.9 kWh (610 km range) under CLTC conditions, with fast-charging from 30% to 80% in 24 minutes. The vehicle is built on the e-TNGA platform, sharing underpinnings with models like the bZ4X and Subaru Solterra.
